When journalists attack

You’d think having the name Paul Martin would be enough to ensure someone gets friendly treatment from the CBC and Toronto Star. But not so for British journalist Paul Martin who, some years back, was the focus of suggestions by the two outlets that he was reporting things about the terrorist group Hezbollah that just weren’t true. These allegedly “fabricated” reports of Hezbollah calling for worldwide terrorism had helped Israel and the Jews to get Hezbollah undeservedly banned in Canada.

Martin, who works in the Middle East, said they had jeopardized his safety there. Turns out, he may have been on to something:
